I don't think it's about fairness ( we are not children) it is about
relevance. And there are very serious problems here. It is about our
understanding as scientists and the routes that we take. Is it chemistry to
take a large database and apply some fairly trivial algorithms? The work
is the database. There was no breakthrough as people claimed it is simply
that the compute became available to use it for training. - Some have
suggested a Nobel prize in literature for Sam Altman. - Can we be so sure
that this kind of AI is not subject to ridicule for a reason?
