Shane Legg, one of our former PhD students, is co-founder of deepmind (with Demis Hassabis and Mustafa Suleyman),  reportedly just acquired by Google for ~$500m. Several additional ex-members of the Swiss AI Lab IDSIA are working for  deepmind.
