Dear colleagues,
This is a reminder of the upcoming Brain Connectivity Workshop (BCW) 2026, which will take place on 10–12 June 2026 at the Pont du Gard, near Nîmes, France — an iconic ancient Roman aqueduct and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 2026 edition marks the 25th anniversary of BCW, celebrating a quarter century as a key international forum for advancing research on brain networks, connectivity, and network neuroscience.
Under the theme "Bridging scales in a principled manner", BCW 2026 will address one of the central challenges in contemporary neuroscience: the integration of knowledge across spatial and temporal scales — from microcircuits to whole-brain dynamics, and from fast neural activity to long-term trajectories — through principled approaches that connect models, methods, and data into coherent frameworks for understanding brain organization.
In keeping with BCW tradition, the workshop will adopt a highly interactive, single-track format. The scientific programme will be largely driven by short oral presentations, primarily delivered by early-career researchers, followed by extended in-depth discussions moderated by senior experts — a format specifically designed to foster open debate, cross-disciplinary exchange, and active participation.
In this edition, we will introduce a flash e-poster session. E-posters will serve both as a forum for presenting ongoing or unpublished work and as a basis for short oral contributions, ensuring that all participants have the opportunity to actively present their research. This is particularly relevant for colleagues who require an accepted contribution in order to secure travel or institutional funding. As an incentive to foster broad participation, registration fees will be reimbursed for all selected e-poster presenters.
The scientific programme includes thematic sessions on multiscale connectivity, whole-brain and biophysical modelling, multimodal data integration, dynamics and control of brain networks, and changes in connectivity across development and disease. An Educational Day will also be held in close connection with the main workshop, offering methods-oriented and pedagogical sessions for students, early-career researchers, and clinicians.
Further information on registration, e-poster submissions, accommodation, and local logistics is available on the BCW 2026 websites, updated regularly:

We warmly encourage you to consider participating in BCW 2026, to submit an e-poster presentation, and to join us in Nîmes next June as we celebrate 25 years of BCW and collectively explore how to bridge scales in a principled manner.
