The 2026 edition marks the <b>25th anniversary</b> of BCW, celebrating a quarter century as a key international forum for advancing research on brain networks, connectivity, and network neuroscience.</span></p><p class="my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2"><span style="font-family: "Segoe UI"; font-size: 14px;">Under the theme <b>"Bridging scales in a principled manner"</b>, BCW 2026 will address one of the central challenges in contemporary neuroscience: the integration of knowledge across spatial and temporal scales — from microcircuits to whole-brain dynamics, and from fast neural activity to long-term trajectories — through principled approaches that connect models, methods, and data into coherent frameworks for understanding brain organization.</span></p><p class="my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2"><span style="font-family: "Segoe UI"; font-size: 14px;">In keeping with BCW tradition, the workshop will adopt a <b>highly interactive, single-track format</b>. The scientific programme will be largely driven by short oral presentations, primarily delivered by early-career researchers, followed by extended in-depth discussions moderated by senior experts — a format specifically designed to foster open debate, cross-disciplinary exchange, and active participation.</span></p><p class="my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2"><span style="font-family: "Segoe UI"; font-size: 14px;">In this edition, we will introduce a <b>flash e-poster session</b>. E-posters will serve both as a forum for presenting ongoing or unpublished work and as a basis for short oral contributions, ensuring that all participants have the opportunity to actively present their research. This is particularly relevant for colleagues who require an accepted contribution in order to secure travel or institutional funding. As an incentive to foster broad participation, <b>registration fees will be reimbursed for all selected e-poster presenters</b>.</span></p><p class="my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2"><span style="font-family: "Segoe UI"; font-size: 14px;">The scientific programme includes thematic sessions on multiscale connectivity, whole-brain and biophysical modelling, multimodal data integration, dynamics and control of brain networks, and changes in connectivity across development and disease.
