Dear All,
I am currently an Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence at the School of Electronic Engineering & Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), UK.
I have two open Ph.D. positions in my lab and am looking for brilliant candidates with background and/or strong passion in Artificial Intelligence, Machine and Deep Learning for Affective Computing.
1) A fully funded 3-years PhD studentship is available for UK home candidates (i.e., candidates with British citizenship). The PhD studentship will cover tuition fees and offer a London stipend of £19,668 per year.
International candidates (i.e., with nationalities other than the British one) can apply and they get a reduced international tuition fee and the stipend; the reduced fee plus the stipend are almost of the same amount as the total international tuition fees needed to be paid (so international candidates will need to cover their own living expenses; there will be options to raise some money for the living expenses etc).
2) A fully funded 4-years PhD studentship is available for Chinese candidates. This studentship is co-funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). CSC is offering a monthly stipend of £1350 (tax free) to cover living expenses and QMUL is waving fees and hosting the student (eligibility criteria and details about CSC can be found here<https://www.qmul.ac.uk/scholarships/items/china-scholarship-council-scholarships.html>).
The Application deadline for both positions is on 31 January 2023 and the expected start date is for September 2023. Both projects will engage with key industrial R&D partners.
About you:
* Holders (or about to hold) high-quality (ideally first class) undergraduate and/or masters (ideally
distinction) degree in a relevant discipline.
Candidates who are interested and/or want further information should contact me directly at d.kollias at qmul.ac.uk<mailto:d.kollias at qmul.ac.uk> and include their CV at the email.
Kind Regards,
Dimitris
