Aims and Scope
In the field of Artificial Intelligence, an inference engine is a
component of decision systems that applies logical rules to the
knowledge base to deduce new information. Fuzzy inference systems
represent an important part of Soft Computing for implementing fuzzy
reasoning and in these last years a great interest has been devoted to
adaptive neural-based models, especially with a deep structure. Fuzzy
Inference systems have been successfully applied in fields such as
automatic control, data classification, risk assessment,
recommendation systems, decision analysis, expert systems,
cybersecurity, signal processing and computer vision. From recent
researches inference systems have been emerging as powerful tools to
mine, interpret and infer data and promise to pave the way for ever
more techniques to take on this challenge.
The aim of the special session is to host recent research advances in
the field of inference systems based on Fuzzy and Neural-based Fuzzy
models and to highlight research issues and still open questions.
Potential topics include Soft Computing methodologies (but are not
limited to):
-Fuzzy Logic
-Type-1 and Type-2 Fuzzy Inference Systems
-Approximate Reasoning
-Neutrosophic logic
-Rough-Sets
-Neuro-Fuzzy Systems
-Evolving Fuzzy Systems
-Granular Computing
-Deep Neural Networks

when applied to:

-automatic control
-data classification
-risk assessment
-recommendation systems
-decision analysis
-expert systems
-signal processing
-computer vision
-cybersecurity
-Medicine
-GIS

Furthermore, software tools designed for addressing any of the above
topics, might be also considered relevant for the special session.
