  we have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Computer Science for someone to join a University of Sheffield pre-spinout company, Opteran Technologies (www.opteran.com).

Opteran Technologies is attempting to commercialise Artificial Intelligence and computer vision technology from the Brains on Board EPSRC Programme Grant (www.brainsonboard.co.uk). The successful candidate will join a highly-motivated team focused on achieving ambitious technical goals within a short timeframe, and is expected to transition to a role in the new company. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new entity at its very earliest stages.

The successful candidate will convert state-of-the-art research to reliably working commercial prototypes and keep up-to-date with the latest machine learning and deep learning developments, and consider the applications of our technology into these developments.
