L'école d'ingénieurs CentraleSupelec <http://www.centralesupelec.fr/> 
recrute sur son campus de Metz un(e) enseignant(e)-chercheur(se) avec un 
profil "/Machine Learning / Science des données/".

Descriptif du poste :*
- Le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) sera embauché(e) en tant que maître(sse) 
de conférences contractuel selon un contrat à durée indéterminée (CDI).
- Il/elle rejoindra l'équipe d'enseignants du campus de Metz pour 
intervenir en particulier dans la spécialisation de 3ème année d'école 
d'ingénieur (niveau M2) intitulée "Science des données et de 
l'information" (SDI).
- Il/elle sera impliqué(e) dans l'enseignement magistral comme pratique, 
y compris dans l'encadrement de projets étudiants réalisés avec des 
entreprises ou des partenaires académiques.
- Il/elle sera rattaché(e) au laboratoire du LORIA 
<http://www.loria.fr/fr/> de Nancy mais disposera d'un bureau au sein de 
son antenne récemment créée à Metz dans les locaux de CentraleSupélec.
- Il/elle rejoindra une équipe du LORIA en lien avec sa spécialité, de 
préférence parmi celles déjà représentées au sein de l'antenne de Metz 
du LORIA (équipes Biscuit, Multispeech, Orpailleur et Simbiot).

*Profil recherché :*
Le profil de compétences idéal est un profil mixte math/info avec d'une 
part de bonnes connaissances en statistiques et en machine learning et 
d'autre part une réelle pratique de l'informatique et de la programmation.
Idéalement il devra s'inscrire dans un  des thèmes de recherche actifs 
du machine learning, notamment :
* Le deep learning et ses applications
* L'apprentissage par renforcement et ses applications (robotique, etc)
* Les modèles probabilistes du machine learning et ses applications 
(NLP, signaux et images, etc)
* Les théories de l'apprentissage statistique
* Le traitement statistique du langage naturel
* L'application du machine learning aux signaux, sons ou images
* Les applications du Machine Learning à l'analyse du Web et des grands 
réseaux (réseaux sociaux, biologie, etc)

The engineering school CentraleSupelec

position of associate professor with a "/Machine Learning/Data Science/" 
profile.

*Job description:*
- The successful candidate will be hired as a "maître de conférence 
contractuel", i.e. a permanent full-time position of associate professor.
- S/he will join the team of teachers on the Metz campus. In particular 
he/she will be implied in the last year specialization program (master 
level) entitled "Data Science and Information" (SDI).
- S/he will be involved in both lectures and laboratory works, including 
supervision of student projects with companies or academic partners.
- S/he will be member of LORIA <http://www.loria.fr/en/> laboratory in 
Nancy but will have an office within the newly created Metz branch 
office in the premises of CentraleSupélec.
- S/he will join one of the LORIA teams in connection with his/her 
research topic, preferably among those already represented in the Metz 
branch of LORIA (Biscuit, Multispeech, Orpailleur and Simbiot teams).

*Required profile:*
The sought profile is a mixed mathematics/computer science profile with 
a good knowledge of statistics and machine learning and also a real 
practice of Computer Science and programming.
Ideally, he/she should be specialized on one of the active research 
themes in Machine Learning, in particular:
* Deep learning and its applications
* Reinforcement learning and its applications (robotics, etc.)
* Probabilistic models of machine learning and its applications (NLP, 
signals and images, etc.)
* Statistical learning theory
* Statistical natural language processing*
** Machine learning applied to signals, sounds and images
* Machine Learning applied to Web and network analysis (social networks, 
biology, etc)
