*Assistant Professor in Music/Sound and Data Science at NYU, Tenure Track*
NYU’s Center for Data Science (CDS <https://cds.nyu.edu/>) and the Music
and Audio Research Lab (MARL <https://steinhardt.nyu.edu/marl/>) are
looking for scholars and innovators at the intersection of music, sound,
and data science. We are seeking applicants willing to help us push
disciplinary boundaries and redefine the future of their fields through
their research, teaching and outreach, and by contributing to methods and
foundational knowledge in data science. Applicants with research focus on
novel data-driven applications in music retrieval, distribution, and
behavior are encouraged to apply. Applicants with research focus on
machine learning and high-dimensional statistics to music and audio
research are also encouraged to apply. This position is part of a
significant expansion of both CDS and MARL, including multiple tenure-track
hires and new state of the art facilities in the heart of Manhattan and
Brooklyn. A doctoral degree in an applicable field is required.
NYU values equity, diversity, and inclusion and especially encourages
candidates from historically underrepresented groups to apply.
