Dear Colleagues, 

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Computer Engineering on Big Data at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in Fall 2016. This position is part of the University’s interdisciplinary initiative to hire a cluster of tenure-track faculty members who will apply or develop data- and computation-intensive methodology and systems across the University through interdisciplinary research and teaching.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in big data-related research, including but not limited to computer architecture, networking, security, storage, embedded systems, high-performance and cloud computing, parallel and distributed computing. A Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field is required at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach and develop new undergraduate and graduate courses, while conducting high-quality research in multi- and inter-disciplinary teams. 

Review of applications will begin on December 8, 2015 and continue until the position is filled. Applications received before January 5, 2016 will be given full consideration. The anticipated start date is August 2016, and salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
