Bosch Research & Development -- Deep Learning Research Engineer
Bosch R&D in Renningen, Germany, is looking for excellent deep learning researchers.
Tasks
- Development and implementation of novel Deep Learning (DL) algorithms with focus on industrial application domains, e.g. computer vision for highly automated driving, robotics, internet of things, and industry 4.0
- Content-oriented leadership & guidance of existing Deep Learning and Machine Learning experts
- Strategy development for the field of DL with focus on Bosch applications, support in strategic decision making with regard to various product lines
- Evaluation and comparison of DL algorithms for specific applications and related tasks, in particular with regard to performance, training, and suitability for embedded applications
- Technical discussions and creation of new ideas & applications within the existing machine learning research team
- Close contact to the scientific and industrial community in DL, scouting and assessment of new approaches, publications on top conferences and journals
- Software contributions to our GPU Cluster
Requirements
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics, with Ph.D. in Machine Learning (preferably Deep Learning)
- Long lasting experience in development and implementation of state-of-the art DL technologies, for diverse applications
- Proven programming skills, in particular C++ and Python, strong experience with DL frameworks such as Caffe, Theano, Pylearn2, Torch
- Broad knowledge of machine learning algorithms & principles
- Ability for leadership, teamwork, motivation for international collaboration and travel, and strong English skills
