Postdoctoral position in systems neuroscience

Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris, France

A postdoctoral position is available in October 2006 at the Laboratory
of Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology of the Ecole Normale Supérieure,
Paris, France, to study the coding mechanisms underlying
auditory-somatosensory associations in the rat cortex. The project
involves behavioral training of rodents and recording of multiple single
units, either using two-photon microscopy or multi-electrodes. It aims
at investigating neuronal interactions during multimodal associations in
the rat cerebral cortex. We are looking for an applicant with a
background in integrative neuroscience. Experience with either
two-photon microscopy or multi-electrode recordings and with
quantitative spike-train data analysis is desirable.
