please take note of the following announcement by Bartlett Mel (NIPS Treasurer):

The deadline to apply for a travel grant for the NIPS 2003 Conference is
this Friday, October 17, 2003.

Modest travel support will be available, with a preference to students, to
those who will be presenting at the meeting, and to those who have not
previously received travel awards.
