Job Description:

The individuals hired will work on a range of projects involving the
computational analysis of brain data.  Thuris currently has three products
under development:  the NeuroGraph, an EEG-based device for the diagnosis
of Alzheimer's disease (see Forbes ASAP article, 5/29/'00); the BrainPrint
system, a new method for in-depth analysis of the effects of pharmaceutical
compounds in the brain, and RapidAging, an assay system for testing the
effects of candidate neuroprotective drugs.  All are patented or patent
pending, and all are in advanced stages of development.

Job responsibilities include designing and building applications software,
diagnostic and classification software, and networking software.  Specific
responsibilities will vary by project, and may include data analysis,
pattern recognition, statistical modeling, machine learning, and neural
networks.

Required qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in computer science or related
field, with experience in programming, pattern recognition, and advanced
statistical tools.  Ability to interact well with co-workers.  Proficiency
in C, C++, object-oriented programming, and familiarity with some analysis
tools, e.g., MATLAB, etc.

Preferred qualifications:  Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science or
related field, background in neuroscience, experience in designing large
statistical or pattern recognition systems.
