PhD Studentship in Neural Networks for Image Analysis
Advanced Computer Architectures Group
Dept. of Computer Science
University of York
York
UK.

Oct 2000 - Sep 2003

A University funded PhD studentship is available from Oct
2000 in the application of neural networks to image analysis
problems. The work will build on research in our group on the
use of neural network based associative memories for the high
performance analysis of images. In particular the work by
Simon O'Keefe and Christos Orovas. For details see 133 and 102 on
our publications list at
http://www.cs.york.ac.uk/arch/neural/publications/papers.html

The project will be supervised by Prof. Jim Austin and Dr. Simon
O'Keefe within an active group working in neural networks research.
Details of the groups research can be found at
http://www.cs.york.ac.uk/arch/neural

For further details please contact Prof. Jim Austin (austin at cs.york.ac.uk)
or write, for an application form, to Filomena Ottaway, Graduate Secretary,
Dept. of Computer Science, University of York, York, YO10 5DD, UK, or email
filo at cs.york.ac.uk.
