Adaptive Computation techniques play a key role in the development of a wide
spectrum of our product and manufacturing applications for household brands
such as Impulse, Organics, Persil, Flora and Wall's Ice Cream. Our recently
established Centre of Excellence in Port Sunlight is committed to this area as
well as developing and maintaining links with leading academics.
Due to success and expansion of the Group we have a number of exciting
opportunities for talented individuals who will relish the challenge of
developing leading-edge solutions to complex industrial problems. A
combination of world-class research and an understanding of how technology may
be applied in practice will enable you to extend both your technological
capabilities and application areas.
Flexible, self motivated and a strong team player with a broad scientific
interest, you will need a high level of numeracy and the ability to work to
tight deadlines. Your good first Degree encompassing a strong mathematical
component should be supported by a PhD, MSc, academic or industrial experience.
Specialists in one or more of the following areas would be of particular
interest: Neuro-Fuzzy, Genetic Algorithms, Neural Networks, Data Mining,
Evolutionary Systems, Adaptive Agents, Fitness Landscapes, Machine Learning,
Pattern Recognition.
