Senior post in Neural Computation

SENIOR FACULTY POST - Neural Computation/Computer Vision (Ref 133)

Applicants are invited for a permanent faculty position, up to Chair
level, within the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Subject
Group of the School of Cognitive and Computing Sciences.  The expected
start date is 1 October 1999 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Candidates should be able to show evidence of significant research
achievement in Neural Computation or Computer Vision.  The successful
applicant will be expected to expand significantly the existing high
research profile of the Group in this area.  Applicants may also be
expected to contribute to teaching in more general areas of Computer
Science or Artificial Intelligence. 

The level of the appointment, Professor/Reader/Senior Lecturer, will be
appropriate to the achievements and potential of the successful
candidate.

Salary in the range: 30,496 - 34,464 per annum (Senior Lecturer/
Reader) or 35,170 minimum per annum (Professorial). Salaries under
review.
