PhD STUDENTSHIP IN FINANCIAL FORECASTING

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE

Applications are now invited for a PhD studentship in the 
area of "Financial Forecasting using Neural Networks". The 
project will develop student skills in areas including 
neural networks, financial markets, forecasting, and 
pattern recognition.

Candidates for this studentship should have a degree in 
computer science, engineering or a related subject. They 
should have programming skills in C/C++/JAVA and knowledge 
of unix operating system. The studentships are only open to 
UK and EU applicants, the latter being on a fees-only 
basis. The successful candidate should expect to take up 
the studentships no later than 1 February, 1999.
