A new version of the paper


         Parameter Adaptation in Stochastic Optimization

Luis B. Almeida, Thibault Langlois, Jose D. Amaral and Alexander Plakhov


is available. In the new version, a few typos in equations have been
corrected, following kind remarks from a reader. A few other details
also were ironed out.

The new version has replaced the old one at the ftp site, so you should
use the same addresses to download it:
