Separation of nonlinear mixtures using pattern repulsion
Goncalo C. Marques and Luis B. Almeida
Abstract
Blind source separation currently is a topic of great research interest.
Most of the separation methods that have been developed are applicable
only to the separation of linear mixtures. In this paper we derive a
separation method for nonlinear mixtures, inspired by an analogy with
the concept of repulsion among physical particles. Two examples of
nonlinear separation are presented.
