Applications are now invited for a PhD studentship in the School of
Computing in the area of unstructured information processing and
extraction using intelligent techniques such as neural networks. The
research project will be carried out in collaboration with Ranco
Controls Ltd., Plymouth, a world leading manufacturer of control
equipment. The project will also collaborate with the School of
Electronic, Communication and Electrical Engineering.

You should have a background in computer science or engineering with a
good honours degree, and preferably with a Masters qualification. The
project requires good knowledge in areas including information
systems, artificial intelligence and C/C++.  The studentship covers
the tuition fee and a maintenance of Pounds 5510 per year.
