     NEURAL COMPUTING APPLICATIONS FORUM (NCAF)
     ------------------------------------------
 
     The purpose of NCAF is to promote widespread exploitation
     of neural computing technology by:
 
     -     providing a focus for neural network practitioners.
     -     disseminating information on all aspects of neural computing.
     -     encouraging close co-operation between industrialists
           and academics.
 
     NCAF holds four, two-day conferences per year, in the UK, with
     speakers from commercial and industrial organisations and
     universities. The focus of the talks is on practical issues in the
     application of neural network technology and related methods to
     solving real-world problems.
 
     NEXT MEETING - 21-22 JANUARY 1998, MALVERN, UK.

     The January meeting will be sponsored by DERA (Defence Evaluation
     and Research Agency, see http://www.dera.gov.uk/dera.htm)
 
     It will be a joint meeting with the annual DERA Artificial
     Intelligence Conference held at DERA Malvern on Wednesday 21st and
     Thursday 22nd January 1998.
 
     Please note that this will be a one-and-a-half day meeting starting at
     lunchtime on 21st. The 1 * days will be packed with applications
     oriented papers as usual. There will also be adequate time for
     networking with other practitioners, during coffee, lunch and the
     evening event.
