			David Sarnoff Research Center


The Computing Sciences Research Group of The David Sarnoff Research Center
currently has openings for two technical positions in Adaptive Information
and Signal Processing.


1. Member Technical Staff

PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or
related discipline. Experience in image and/or signal processing
(preferably medical image or signal processing), neural networks, pattern
recognition and computer vision.  Will conduct research and build and
explore commercial opportunities in areas of medical imaging, object
recognition/detection, speech recognition, and/or datamining.

Special Requirements: Interest in applying neural networks and image
understanding to applications in medical image and speech processing.
Ambition for helping to develop new commercial neural network/vision
business. Excellent communication skills and willingness to bring in new
business and extend application domain of group.  Experience in MATLAB, C
and C++ programming and the UNIX operating system.


2. Associate Member Technical Staff

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or
Computer Science. Experience in image and/or signal processing.
Responsibilities will include developing and proto-typing software for
applications in medical imaging, signal processing and datamining.

Special Requirements: Experience in MATLAB, C and C++ programming and the
UNIX operating system.  Background in image and/or signal processing.
Experience in neural networks and datamining preferred.  Comfortable with
building X-based graphical user interfaces.
