Objective
This International Conference will produce an up-to-date report on the
current state of research in the field of artificial neural
networks. This will include theory fundamental structures, learning
algorithms, implementation, vision, speech, robotics, control, medical
and finance. The conference seeks original contributions spanning the
entire field of neural networks. Suggestions for possible topics
include:
Architecture's and learning algorithms:
Theory and design of neural networks, comparison with classical
techniques.
Applications and industrial systems:
Vision and image processing, speech and language processing,
communications systems, biomedical systems, robotics and
control, financial and business systems.
Implementations:
hardware implementations (analogue and digital), VLSI devices or
systems, optoelectronics
Contributions
Papers will be selected on the basis of wide audience appeal, ease of
understanding and potential stimulation of broad ranging discussion.
The quality of preparation and presentation expected will be very
high. In addition to lecture theatre presentations a selection of
papers will be presented in poster sessions. This has become an
increasingly popular method of presentation as it offers good
opportunities for one-to-one discussion. If you would prefer to
present your paper in this way please indicate so when sending in your
abstract, In addition please indicate which subject area (see list
below) the abstract should be included in.
Submissions should be in the form of an extended abstract up to 4
pages, to be received by the secretariat on or before 30 November
1994. The abstract must indicate clearly the novelty of the proposed
contribution.
Authors whose abstract are selected will be required to provide a
typescript of a maximum of 6 pages by 31 March 1995.
