The directory of connectionist electronic tech-reports, pub/neuroprose
on cheops.cis.ohio-state.edu, seems to have been deleted. It is
impossible to tell whether it was done by a local diskspace scrounger
or one of us, perhaps a double agent really working for symbolic AI!!!

A request for backup has been made to the local authorities, and I will post
another message when it is restored to its former glory.

Will take this opportunity for a straw poll:

1) have you ever put a report in neuroprose?

2) Approx how many reports have you retrieved this way?

3) Do you find ftp easy or difficult to use?

4) do you find ftp's binary mode, and the compress/uncompress
protocol easy or difficult to use?

5) have you had any problems printing the postscript or tex
posted by others?

6) Any other comments on the viability of continuing
the distribution of preprints in this fashion?
