Team,
If you have not RSVP'd yet please do so asap. We need to have good
estimates of headcounts to proceed with ordering food and other resources.
We have an excellent roster of speakers and panelists and many of you
prepare spotlight talks and posters for the 30th Anniversary Symposium on
Friday.
Please feel free to forward the below boilerplate email invitation to
whomever you believe should be aware of the events.
Cheers,
Artur

As you might already be aware, in 2023 the Carnegie Mellon University Auton
Lab celebrates 30 years of building AI with real world impact. In
celebration, we are planning a weekend of events from September 8th to
10th. We would like to invite you to join us in Pittsburgh for the
celebration!
Friday features a symposium with a series of short talks to highlight the
amazing past and future work at the Lab, panel sessions to review the
present and the future of our domain, as well as spotlight talks and
posters delivered primarily by current junior members of our research team.
Saturday promises plenty of time to catch up with family and friends over a
picnic. Finally, on Sunday we will kick off the next 30 years with a walk
through Schenley Park and a send-off brunch.
We will continue the following weekend with a hackAuton, starting on
Friday, September 15th, which will involve several teams of CMU students
coming up with clever solutions to AI/ML challenges.
Additional information and an RSVP button can be found at
https://autonlab.org/30th-Anniversary/ (note that details of the schedule
are still being finalized). There will also be options for remote
participation if joining in person is not feasible. Please RSVP
<https://autonlab.org/30th-Anniversary/#rsvp> in any case at your earliest
convenience.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!
