ACT-R Folks,
Greetings. This is an unofficial announcement of a post-doctoral position
that should materialize in the Applied Cognitive Program of George Mason
University. We expect to be looking for someone with skill and promise in
computational cognitive modeling. As we work primarily within an ACT-R
framework, we are especially looking for people skilled in ACT-R.
The ideal candidate would be John Anderson or Christian Lebiere; however,
we do not expect them to apply. Less than ideal candidates should not feel
intimidated. If you have some combination of research experience,
programming skill, knowledge of ACT-R the theory, or knowledge of ACT-R the
language then you should consider applying. Knowledge of other
computational cognitive modeling systems plus a willingness to learn ACT-R
is okay as well.
If you are interested, please send a short email. If you have questions
about the position, the program, or the research please ask.
Cheers,
Wayne
