One or two post-doctoral positions are available in computational
neurosciences in the Hiratani lab at the Washington University School of
Medicine. Our laboratory seeks to uncover the fundamental principles
underlying learning and computation in the brain from the interface
between the brain and artificial intelligence. The research topics
include learning and computation in wide-and-shallow neural networks
(olfactory systems, cerebellum, and Octopus vertical lobe), biologically
plausible credit assignment, large-scale neural and behavioral data
analysis, and structure knowledge processing in the brain. Please check
our laboratory website for the details (https://www.hiratanilab.org/).

Candidates should possess a strong mathematical and/or computational
background and hold a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience, statistics,
computer science, physics, math, or a related field. Previous experience
in computational neuroscience is a plus but not required.

Our laboratory resides in the new 11-story neuroscience research
building, where many collaboration opportunities with excellent
experimental laboratories are available. For general information on
postdoc positions at Washington University in St. Louis, please refer to
postdoc.wustl.edu/prospective-postdocs.

Interested candidates should send CV and contact information of two
references to hiratani at wustl.edu.
