Connectionists: Postdoc and PhD positions in Mathematical Cognition at NTNU, Norway

We invite applications for one Postdoc and one PhD position in the group for Mathematical Cognition at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). 

The group works to advance theories of mathematical cognition by combining empirical and computational research in the intersection of mathematics education, cognitive sciences, and artificial intelligence. 

The positions are part of the project ‘Mathematical reasoning with cognitive technology’ with the aim to develop computational models of mathematical reasoning and problem solving. Relevant methods include neural networks, reinforcement learning, probabilistic programming, etc.

The project is a collaboration between researchers from NTNU, Stanford University, Rutgers University, and the Education Development Center.
