PhD Position in Biologically Plausible Autonomous Learning
Queen Mary University of London
School of Electronic Engineering & Computer Science

Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD studentship undertaking research into robotic learning within the context of a European Union Horizon 2020-funded project DREAM (Deferred Restructuring of Experience in Autonomous Machines). DREAM is a joint Horizon 2020 project combining strength of 5 academic partners throughout Europe. The project aims to develop a machine that can accumulate and develop increasingly complex skills over an extended time period through consolidation and restructuring of knowledge. 

The successful candidate will develop models for machine perception and control that are capable of compositional and open-ended learning, and also study their biological plausibility.

Nationality: Open to all.
Deadline: 1st March 2015.
Interviews expected: March 2015.
Start Date: Spring 2015.
