Connectionists: 2 years postdoctoral position at Genopole (Evry, FRANCE)

A two-years postdoctoral position in statistical machine learning for
postgenomics is available at GENOPOLE (Evry, France)


The postdoc will join the team Machine Learning for Biology to work on a
project about reverse modeling of macromolecular networks from various
experimental data and background knowledge.
The candidate must be a high-level computer scientist or mathematician
with expertise in statistical machine learning (graphical models, neural
networks, kernels). A background in bioinformatics (microarray data
analysis, systems biology) is wishable but not necessary . He/she will be
involved in collaborations with biologists and must show a high motivation
to interdisciplinary work.

Conditions of eligibility : the candidate must be working outside of
France at the time of application. As the grant is intended as a return
stipend, french candidates, currently in foreign countries, and foreign
candidates who have attended part of their courses in France are welcome.

Duration : Year 2005-07 (starts in December 2005 or sooner if possible)
Deadline for candidature: Dec 1rst, 2005.
Salary : 2000 euros/month.
