Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Artificial Intelligence
School of Computing, University of Plymouth, UK


The School of Computing invites applications for a lectureship in the field
of Artificial Intelligence, from persons with a specialist interest in the
application of computational intelligence techniques (neural computing,
evolutionary computing) in one or more of the following areas: 

· multimedia,  
· agent-based systems, 
· financial systems.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop new courses at both
undergraduate and postgraduate level in one or more of the above topics, and
to carry out research, including initiating new projects, in collaboration
with existing research groups in the School, in particular the Centre for
Neural and Adaptive Systems (http://www.tech.plym.ac.uk/soc/research/neural/
index.html).

Candidates must as a minimum requirement possess, or be about to obtain, a
PhD in a related area. Relevant postdoctoral experience and an established
research publication record is desirable, but not essential.Applications
from more senior academics/researchers are also invited and this is
reflected in the salary range for the post, which is £13480 - £32966 pa.
(Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Principal Lecturer/ Reader). Appointment will be
at an appropriate level to reflect qualifications and experience.
