Some of you saw my announcement over a year ago of the textbook, Introduction
to Neural and Cognitive Modeling, and by now are wondering if the book is an
imaginary construct. I am pleased to say that it isn't: it is now out and
available from Lawrence Erlbaum Associates. It is only $19.95 in paperback
(it's a lot more in hardback) and can be ordered at 1-800-9-BOOKS-9. Their
address is Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Inc., 365 Broadway, Hillsdale, NJ
07642-1487. It took a long time because we did the typesetting here, using
WordPerfect with about 150 CorelDraw figures and lots of equations.

You might be interested in Erlbaum's current order form, since they have severalother books recently out or in press that are likely to be of interest. These
include Neuroscience and Cognition (title?) edited by Gluck and Rumelhart;
Neural Networks for Conditioning and Action, edited by Commons, Grossberg, and
Staddon; Brain and Perception by Pribram; Income and Choice in Biological Syst-
ems by Rosenstein; and Motivation, Emotion, and Goal Direction, edited by Leven
and myself. (The latter should be Motivation, Emotion, and Goal Direction in
Neural Networks and will be ready in about a month.)
