Subject: ACT-R Workshop Presentations

You are receiving this message because you are listed as a presenter for the
2003 ACT-R Workshop. Because of the number of submissions we had
this year we are forced to reduce the amount of time that individual talks
are allotted relative to last year. This year the individual talks will be
limited to 20 minutes including questions, which is 5 minutes shorter than
last year, so please be prepared for that.

The two symposia, one on parameter optimization and one on interfacing
ACT-R to external simulations, will each be one and a half hours long. The
organizers of those symposia should plan accordingly.

Speakers who wish to contribute to the workshop proceedings (which is
not an obligation but is strongly encouraged) should email their contributions
by Saturday July 19th to me (db30+ at andrew.cmu.edu). I apologize for the
short notice, and hope that it is not a problem for anyone who whishes to
contribute. The contributions are limited to a maximum of 6 pages for the
individual presentations, 6 pages per presenter in each symposium, and no
limit for the invited speaker. The contribution may consist of an abstract,
paper, slides, or any combination thereof. This year, we would like the
submissions sent in pdf format to avoid any issues with formatting or
software version incompatibilities. Adobe Acrobat is the canonical software
for creating pdf files, but there are many other options. If you don't have
software for creating pdf files, let me know and I can help you set up
something.

Thanks,
Dan
