the named alternatives are for VOIP connection which are not what I want.
So is it possible to use another module for connecting the roomline to the
PSTN. for instance via a telephony card? I think the telephony cards
prepare some interface for connecting to the PSTN.

I am wondered why sphinx2 is not replaced with the sphinx4 as it is more
robust and handles OOV.
