Dear research community,
We are seeking a host for the *20th International Conference on Parallel
Problem Solving From Nature (PPSN)*, which will be held in 2028.
PPSN is a biannual open forum fostering the study of natural models,
iterative optimization heuristics, machine learning, and other artificial
intelligence approaches. PPSN brings together researchers and practitioners
in the field of Natural Computing, the study of computing approaches that
are gleaned from natural models. We also welcome submissions on connections
between search heuristics and machine learning or other artificial
intelligence approaches. Submissions covering the entire spectrum of work,
ranging from rigorously derived mathematical results to carefully crafted
empirical studies, are invited.
Following PPSN's unique tradition, all accepted papers will be presented
during poster sessions and will be included in the proceedings. The
proceedings will be published in the prestigious Lecture Notes in Computer
Science (LNCS) series by Springer.
You may find more details on the websites of the past two editions of the
conference:
https://ppsn2024.fh-ooe.at/
https://ppsn2026.disi.unitn.it/
Informal inquiries can be addressed to Giovanni Iacca (
giovanni.iacca at unitn.it).
If you want to place your bid, please send an email to Giovanni Iacca (
giovanni.iacca at unitn.it), cc the PPSN Steering Committee (ppsnsc at inria.fr),
attaching a .txt file including the information requested in the proposal
template reported below. Note that not all information is needed during the
bidding phase, but the more details you can provide, the more informed the
decision of the PPSN Steering Committee will be. The Steering Committee
includes the organizers of the past five editions of the conference.
*Bids will be accepted until Nov 30, 2026.*
The final decision will be made tentatively by mid-January 2027.
Best regards,
Giovanni Iacca, Ph.D.
