Dear,

**

as I promised, let me send you some updates regarding the Summer School
on Multi-Robot Systems (MRS) and UAVs, which will take place on July
29–August 4, 2026, in Prague
(https://mrs.fel.cvut.cz/summer-school-2026/). I apologize if you have
already received this information. In that case, please ignore this email.

We have finalized the list of lecturers, and we are again proud to
announce an outstanding group of professors in the fields of MRS,
swarming, UAVs, and drone industry (see the list in the call for
participation below). We have also decided on the task for the outdoor
experiments and the student competition at the end of the school and
selected a challenging application of fully autonomous multi-UAV
localisation of forest fires. Students will have again the opportunity
to use the newest Fly4Future flying robots for the practical exercises.
Using these platforms, students will have the opportunity to work with
UAVs equipped with sufficient computational power and onboard sensors
for relative localization, enabling strictly decentralized MRS in
real-world outdoor environments.

We have also prepared joint trips for students to visit Prague Castle
and several UNESCO historical sites in Czechia to support networking
among young scientists working in similar research areas and to help
them become part of the large community of more than 1000 students from
the MRS field who have attended our school. It is great to see how
former Summer School students continue to meet and collaborate at
robotics conferences around the world.

Thank you for sharing this information with your colleagues and
students, and reminding them the deadline for application: April 30,
2026. I hope to meet many of them in Prague.

Best Regards,

Prof. Martin Saska

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Following the great success of our previous Summer Schools in 2019,
2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, we are excited to announce the 2026
IEEE RAS Summer School on Multi-Robot
Systemshttps://mrs.fel.cvut.cz/summer-school-2026/
<https://mrs.fel.cvut.cz/summer-school-2026/>, which will take place
from July 29 to August 4, 2026. As in past years, the Summer School will
be held at the campus of Czech Technical University, located in the
heart of the beautiful and historic city of Prague.

The Summer School aims to promote the latest achievements in Multi-Robot
Systems, Swarming, and UAV research, targeting students, academic
researchers, and industrial practitioners. Our goal is to enable the
practical application of cooperating robot systems and to encourage
networking among participants. The main program of the 2026 IEEE RAS
Summer School on Multi-Robot Systems includes lectures by
well-recognized experts in the field (see the list below), as well as
hands-on experience that will enable participants to engage in
real-world experiments using state-of-the-art aerial platforms developed
specifically for multi-robot research. Join us at the Czech Technical
University in Prague to advance your knowledge, share experiences, and
explore cutting-edge developments in Multi-Robot Systems and UAVs.

The school is primarily intended for in-person participation, as
networking among students is an important part of the event. In previous
editions, more than 1000 students from leading robotics groups worldwide
have attended, many of whom are still actively collaborating today.
Nevertheless, we will also allow virtual participation for students from
countries with travel restrictions or other limitations.
