Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to submit your work to the MIRASOL Workshop at
MICCAI 2026, taking place on 27 September 2026 in Strasbourg, France (moved
from Dubai due to the Ir4n-USA situation).
MIRASOL (Medical Imaging in Resource-Constrained Settings) brings together
researchers, clinicians, engineers, and policymakers developing AI and
medical imaging solutions that improve healthcare where resources are
limited. Whether your work focuses on novel machine learning methods,
clinical applications, or real-world deployment, we welcome your
contribution.
Topics of Interest
We invite submissions in areas including:
🧠 Machine learning for medical imaging in resource-constrained settings
📱 Low-cost imaging, ultrasound, X-ray, smartphone-based diagnostics
🌍 Healthcare impact, implementation, and policy
🤖 Agentic AI and capacity building for global health
📚 Education, sustainability, and AI for equitable healthcare

✈️ Travel grants available for eligible early-career researchers from LMICs
and under-represented regions.
💻 Free computing resources available for eligible LMIC researchers through

Paper Submission Deadline: 15 July 2026 (last 48 hours)
Notification: 15 August 2026
Camera Ready: 3 September 2026
Workshop: 27 September 2026
(All deadlines are 23:59 Anywhere on Earth.)
The workshop follows a double-blind review process, and accepted papers
will be presented during MICCAI 2026 and published as Springer Proceedings.

We particularly encourage submissions that demonstrate practical impact,
address healthcare inequities, or introduce innovative AI methods designed
for low-resource environments.
