Dear Colleagues
I am full of enthusiasm for Dr Rougier's competition. I wrote at more
length about why in this piece for The Transmitter (published 5th Jan)
https://www.thetransmitter.org/computational-neuroscience/the-1000-neuron-challenge
Sadly the editor cut the line where I mentioned that I learnt about the
competition via this very mailing list. I described a listserv as "an old
way of communicating among scientists, not as clumsy or random as social
media". I still think mailing lists have the elegance of a more civilised
age
Best wishes all,
Tom
