Dear all,

We are pleased to invite proposals for *Workshops and Tutorials* at the
42nd Conference on Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence (UAI 2026), which
will take place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from August 17th to 21st,
2026.

Tutorials will be held in person on Monday, August 17th, 2026.
Workshops will be held (in person with a hybrid option) on Friday, August
21st, 2026, following the main conference.
CALL FOR WORKSHOPS

We seek proposals for half-day or full-day workshops that provide an
informal forum for research topics relevant to the UAI community, with
emphasis on discussion of open problems and challenges. Organizers will be
responsible for arranging participation, content, and moderation.

A significant portion of each workshop should be dedicated to contributed
content (full papers or extended abstracts, at the organizers’ discretion).
We encourage organizers to consider diverse viewpoints, including a balance
of applied and theoretical researchers, as well as early career and senior
researchers.

We welcome proposals on all topics relevant to UAI, and particularly
encourage submissions in areas such as:

   -

   Causal inference
   -

   Bayesian statistics
   -

   Optimization and game theory
   -

   Model transparency and interpretability
   -

   Disparity and equity research
   -

   Algorithmic fairness
   -

   Generative AI

Proposals will be evaluated based on relevance to the UAI audience,
potential impact, quality and clarity, and the organizers’ expertise.

Workshop proposal deadline: March 6th, 2026
Notification: March 27th, 2026

Proposals (maximum two pages, excluding organizer details and references;
single-column PDF, font size 11 or greater) should be sent to:
uai2026chairs+workshop at gmail.com
CALL FOR TUTORIALS

We also invite proposals for tutorials to be held in person on August 17th,
2026. Tutorials may be either 1.5 hours (short) or 3 hours (long),
including time for questions. Tutorials should be accessible to the broader
UAI audience while maintaining sufficient rigor and technical depth.

Short tutorials may have at most two presenters; long tutorials may have at
most three presenters. Presenters must commit to attending UAI in person.

Tutorial proposal deadline: April 30th, 2026 (EoD AoE)
Notification of acceptance: May 21st, 2026

Proposals (maximum three pages, excluding references; PDF format) should
include:

   -

   Title and abstract
   -

   Duration (1.5 or 3 hours)
   -

Detailed description and outline (with time allocation)
   -

   Goals and expected learning outcomes
   -

   Target audience and required background
   -

   Presenter information and relevant expertise

Tutorial proposals should be submitted via the linked submission form.

We especially encourage proposals from groups that represent the diversity
of our community.

We look forward to receiving your proposals and to an exciting program of
workshops and tutorials at UAI 2026 in Amsterdam.

Best regards,
