Dear all,

Coming August (24-25th) the IBS Lab<http://www.ibs-lab.com/> hosts a free 1.5-day Cedalion Workshop at the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data (BIFOLD) in Berlin. We have already received over 100 registrations.
The workshop focuses on machine learning/data-driven and model-based analysis of optical brain imaging data from fNIRS and DOT data in Python using the open-source Cedalion toolbox.
A major Cedalion Release (v2026.05) is imminent, which includes many powerful features from freesurfer-compatible head models to multimodal signal decomposition techniques.
Cedalion integrates and extends core functionality from the leading matlab fNIRS toolboxes HOMER3 and AtlasViewer, while leveraging the Python ecosystem for modern multimodal data analysis and machine learning, targeting applications in everyday-world neuroscience and brain-computer interfacing.

The workshop follows the upcoming 2026 release and is paired with a comprehensive tutorial.
It is co-hosted with the Boston University Neurophotonics Center. Includes a hands-on fNIRS introduction by NIRx Medical Technologies.

  *   Free of charge
  * 35 in-person seats (first come, first served) - still available
  *   Unlimited virtual participation

For details and registration please see the Cedalion Workshop page<https://www.bifold.berlin/news-events/events/cedalion-workshop> - please joing us if you are interested!

Kind regards,
Alexander von Lühmann
