Connectionists: Japan-Netherlands research collaboration in the field of neuromorphic computing

JST and NWO have launched the Joint Call "Japan-Netherlands Research Collaborations" in the fields of neuromorphic technologies https://www.nwo.nl/en/calls/unconventional-information-processing-technologies-cooperation-japan-the-netherlands. We are looking for a collaborator in Japan developing neuromorphic technologies and interested in energy efficient sparse coding in spiking neural networks to submit a joint proposal. The Netherlands-based applicant can apply for a grant amount of at least €800,000 and at most €1,150,000 from NWO. The Japan-based applicant can apply for a grant amount of at most 250,000,000 JPY from JST. The main applicant and co-applicant(s) may apply for budget for personnel, material, knowledge utilization, and project management.
