Connectionists: Postdoc position on memory-augmented LLMs at Idiap (Switzerland)

As part of the ERC Advanced grant BALM, Idiap Research Institute seeks 
qualified candidates for a postdoctoral researcher position to work on 
representation learning and novel large language model architectures 
(LLMs), with Dr. James Henderson in the Natural Language Understanding 
group

This researcher will investigate memory-augmented LLMs (e.g. RAG) using 
our recent results in knowledge-graph embedding and representation 
learning with our variational-Bayesian theory of how transformers 
represent information, leading to novel applications and their evaluation.

The ideal Postdoc candidate should have finished, or be close to 
finishing, a PhD dissertation on a topic in machine learning, artificial 
intelligence or natural language processing. She or he should have a 
strong background in machine learning or natural language processing, 
with good programming skills.
