This is the first time an AI professional society, in fact the oldest one, is taking a deeper look at the EU AI Act with a workshop where Mr. Brando Benifei, member of the European parliament, will be the plenary speaker: Brando Benifei - Wikipedia<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brando_Benifei>

Mr. Benifei was co-chair of the committee that drafted the EU AI Act.
