********************************************************************

We are pleased to announce the 13th International Conference on Data
Science to (CODS 2025) be held in IISER Pune, India, on December 17-20,
2025 as a fully physical conference.

CODS (also known as CODS-COMAD between 2018 and 2024) is the premier data
centric conference in India. The inaugural edition of CODS was held in
Delhi in 2014. In 2018, the conference brought together - and continues to
value and cherish, the name reversal notwithstanding - the Database
community of the COMAD conference, which originated in 1989. The
conference invites researchers in the field of data science, data
management, data mining, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, as
well as papers describing the design, implementation and results of
solutions of such advances to real-world problems. This year we have
introduced a new track on AI for Science, with a focus on Life Sciences and
Earth Sciences for the inaugural track.

*- CALL FOR PAPERS AND PROPOSALS -*

RESEARCH TRACK

The research track invites archival and non-archival papers describing
innovative and original research contributions in the areas of data
science, data management, data mining, machine learning, and artificial
intelligence, as well as papers describing the design, implementation and
results of solutions of such advances to real-world problems. Papers can
range from theoretical contributions to systems and algorithms to
experimental research and benchmarking. Authors of all accepted papers
(archival and non-archival) must present their work at the conference. As
non-archival submissions, we strongly encourage and solicit submission of
papers currently under review at core A* venues or recently accepted for
publication at such venues. For more details, visit this page
<https://ikdd.acm.org/cods-2025/call-for-research-track-papers.php>.

APPLIED DATA SCIENCE TRACK

The Applied Data Sciences (ADS) track invites archival and non-archival
papers describing the design, implementation and results of solutions and
systems for application of data science techniques to real-world problems.
Technical approaches can include data science, data mining, applied machine
learning, testing and governance of data science models and solutions, and
practical MLOps approaches. The ADS Track also strongly encourages and
solicits submission of papers currently under review at core A* venues or
recently accepted for publication at such venues. Authors of all accepted
papers (archival and non-archival) must present their work at the
conference. For more details, visit this page
<https://ikdd.acm.org/cods-2025/call-for-applied-data-science-track-papers.php>
.

AI FOR DATA SCIENCE

The AI for Data Science is a new track introduced in 2025 in view of the
growing synergy between data-driven methods and core scientific
disciplines. The track invites archival and non-archival papers describing
original research involving the application of AI, machine learning, or
data science in the broad domains of (a) the Life Sciences; (b) the Earth
Sciences. For more details, visit this page
<https://ikdd.acm.org/cods-2025/call-for-ai-for-sciences-track-papers.php>.

TUTORIALS

Tutorials at CODS offer a platform to showcase state-of-the-art tools and
technologies to support research, development, and applications of data
systems, data science, data management and platforms, data-driven
applications, and ethics of data science. We solicit tutorial proposals on
all topics of interest to the CODS-COMAD conference. For more details,
visit this page
<https://ikdd.acm.org/cods-2025/call-for-tutorial-proposals.php>.

DEMO TRACK

The Demo track at CODS provides an excellent opportunity for researchers,
practitioners, and industry professionals to showcase their latest
innovations, prototypes, tools, systems, or libraries in the fields of data
sciences, data management, machine learning, AI, and related areas. We
invite submissions for demonstrations on topics related to a broad range of
data-driven applications, from data management and retrieval to the use of
data science in real-world systems, and include libraries and tools for use
by the community. For more details, visit this page
<https://ikdd.acm.org/cods-2025/call-for-demo-track-papers.php>.

EARLY CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

This year, CODS is starting its invited young speaker program, highlighting
data science researchers who have just begun careers as new faculty
members, post docs or the equivalent in industry. We invite applications
from qualified researchers who have taken up a faculty or post-doc position
at a research-intensive university or a broadly equivalent position in
industry with a start date between July 1, 2023 and July 31, 2025. For more
details, visit this page
<https://ikdd.acm.org/cods-2025/call-for-papers-early-career-highlights.php>
.

YOUNG RESEARCHERS' SYMPOSIUM

The Young Researchers' Symposium at CODS 2025 invites submissions from
current students who have a track record of publishing. This is a unique
opportunity for young scholars to receive feedback from mid-career and
senior faculty. This is also an opportunity for young researchers to have
fruitful peer-to-peer discussions and to get feedback from leading senior
researchers about their current research work. For more details, visit this
page
<https://ikdd.acm.org/cods-2025/call-for-young-researchers-symposium-papers.php>
.

DATA/ AI CHALLENGE

The conference invites individuals or industry/academic groups to send
their proposals for the CODS 2025 Data/AI Challenge. This challenge is a
premier annual Data Sciences & AI competition held as part of the annual
CODS conference. The 2024 challenge had over 5000 participants. The
problem and the data set should be relevant to the Indian scientific
community and society and try to address some problems particularly
important in the India context. We are particularly looking for problems
that are different from typical machine learning and data science
challenges proposed at competitive venues in recent years. For more
details, visit this page
