Call for Papers - Symposium on Green Artificial Intelligence (November 25–26, 2025 | CITIC, University of A Coruña)
The INDITEX-UDC Chair of AI in Green Algorithms is pleased to announce the Symposium on Green Artificial Intelligence, to be held in a hybrid format at the CITIC facilities of the University of A Coruña. This symposium aims to serve as a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and institutional stakeholders to engage in interdisciplinary discussions on the challenges and advancements in artificial intelligence from a sustainability standpoint.
We invite submissions of original research contributions in the form of oral presentations or posters. Manuscripts should not exceed 2 pages including references. Submissions are accepted in Galician, Spanish, or English and must include an abstract of up to 800 characters specifying the thematic area of the research.

Priority Topics

Submissions aligned with the research agenda of the INDITEX-UDC Chair are particularly encouraged, including but not limited to:

🟢 Energy-efficient algorithms: low-resolution computing, high-performance computing (HPC), edge computing, federated learning, quantum computing, compact data structures, efficient natural language processing (NLP).
🟢 AI for energy efficiency and sustainability: sustainable mobility, smart buildings, social behavior simulation, circular economy, and applications in strategic sectors.
🟢 Sustainable robotics: environmental interaction, green manufacturing processes, embedded hardware and software efficiency.
🟢 Ethical, social, and economic implications of green algorithms: impact assessment methodologies, algorithmic governance, justice, and sustainability considerations in AI.

➡️ Submission deadline: September 19, 2025
➡️ Acceptance notification: October 10, 2025
➡️ Full paper submission (max. 2 pages): October 24, 2025
