Greetings from the 2025 IEEE RTSI Committee,
The IEEE RTSI (Research and Technologies for Society and Industry) forum is
the flagship conference of IEEE Region 8, offering a global platform for
academia and industry professionals to exchange ideas, present cutting-edge
research, and build networks. The forum emphasizes fostering collaboration
between academia and industry, showcasing how engineering and technology
improve quality of life. It also encourages discussions on effective
research policies, highlights innovative applications, and provides a rich
program of tutorials, workshops, and exhibitions, fostering dialogue
between researchers, industry leaders, and government agencies.
The 9th IEEE RTSI is co-sponsored by IEEE Region 8, IEEE Africa Council,
IEEE Tunisia Section and the IEEE Italy Section. It will be hosted in
Tunis, Tunisia from August 24th to 26th 2025.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Prospective Authors of papers are invited to submit a paper (typically 4-6
pages in standard IEEE two-column format) via EDAS by suggesting the
related Track and Technical Topic. The paper should contain a complete
description of the proposed contribution along with results, suitably
framed in the related state of the art. Each paper will be reviewed in
terms of relevance with respect to the scope of the event, originality and
quality of the technical content, overall organization and writing style.
Submission of papers implies intention to register and present the related
content at the conference. The final manuscript must be accompanied by a
registration form and a full registration fee payment proof. The length for
final papers is 4-6 pages without exceptions.
Proceedings papers presented at the Conference will be submitted for
inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS
The RTSI 2025 Organizing Committee invites proposals for Special Sessions
to complement the regular program and highlight key research directions.
Proposals should include the session title, organizer contact details, a
brief description, and biographies of the organizers, along with a list of
at least two tentative papers. Special Sessions may feature invited
speakers, and organizers are responsible for the session's content.
Proposals will be evaluated on timeliness, uniqueness, and organizer
qualifications. Accepted sessions will be listed on the conference website,
and only those with at least five accepted papers will be included in the
program.

CALL FOR WORKSHOPS
The RTSI 2025 Organizing Committee invites proposals for half and full-day
workshops that will explore current topics related to research and
technologies for society and industry. These workshops will feature a mix
of regular papers, invited presentations, and panels, encouraging active
participation and discussion among attendees.
Proposals should be submitted via the dedicated online form. Proposers must
include details about the workshop title, duration, motivation, background,
structure, content, and the associated technical program committee.
Information on previous editions is also welcome.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the relevance and uniqueness of the
topic, as well as the qualifications of the proposers. Accepted workshops
will be listed on the conference website.

CALL FOR TUTORIALS
The RTSI 2025 Organizing Committee invites proposals for tutorials.
Tutorials may address one or more tracks but should be organized under a
unified theme. Tutorial proposals should be submitted via the dedicated
Online Form. Proposers should provide information on the title, duration,
motivation, background, structure, content, and associated bibliography.
Additional information on previous editions can also be provided, if
applicable.
Tutorial proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic,
its uniqueness, and the qualifications of the proposers. The accepted
tutorials will be listed on the conference website.
