The Department of Cognitive and Emerging Computing at Sandia National Laboratories (http://neuroscience.sandia.gov) is excited to announce we are searching for multiple postdoctoral researchers, broadly in the area of neuromorphic engineering and computational neuroscience. The team has a newly awarded 3-year project to investigate the interplay of biologically inspired and generative artificial intelligence algorithms with neuromorphic platforms. Our group has several of the largest neuromorphic platforms in the world, including recently announced 1-Billion neuron Loihi 2, and Spinnaker2 systems. We aim to utilize these resources and cross-disciplinary expertise to design next generation neurally inspired AI approaches. We welcome both recent graduates, and those who are nearing their thesis defense.
To apply, or for more information on Sandia and the specific positions, please navigate to https://www.sandia.gov/careers/ and search for one of the following three openings, according to your research interests and expertise:
696457 - Neuromorphic Codesign: Focusing on computer architecture for emerging neuromorphic platforms.
696476 - Computer Science and AI Theory: Focusing on generative AI models, theory, and translation to neuromorphic-compatible forms.
696477 - Computational Neuroscience: Focusing on translating computational neuroscience findings and approaches into NeuroAI for novel algorithms.
