Applications for the Iméra-ILCB Chair 2025-26 are open!

We are pleased to announce the call for applications for the Iméra-ILCB Chair for the academic year 2025-26.

Application Details:

  *   - Application Deadline: October 21, 2024, at 1 PM (French time)
  *   - Duration of Residency: 5 or 10 months between September 2025 and July 2026

Research Domains:
The ILCB focuses on the cognitive and brain bases of language and communication, with four interdisciplinary research programs:

  1.  Development and evolution of language, exploring its origins in humans and other species.
  2.  Neural and cognitive dynamics of language and conversation, examining communication dynamics.
  3.  Quantification and mathematical modeling of neural and cognitive phenomena.
  4.  Language pathologies and their treatments.

Eligibility Criteria & residency conditions:
- Applicants must not have resided in France for more than 12 months in the past three years.
- Candidates must hold a doctorate or Ph.D. degree.
- An employment contract (permanent or non-permanent) in a foreign university or research institution is required.
- The research project should align with the theme of “Language, Communication, and Brain.”

Location: Iméra, Institute for Advanced Study in Marseille.
