Connectionists: Registration for the summer school "Neural Dynamics for Embodied Cognition" on the waiting list is open

Our summer school "Neural Dynamics for Embodied Cognition" will take 
place from the 12th to the 17th of August, 2024, at the Institute for 
Neural Computation, Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany, coordinated by 
Prof. Dr. Gregor Schöner.

Neuronal dynamics provide a powerful theoretical language for the design 
and modeling of embodied and situated cognitive systems. The school 
offers a hands-on and practical introduction to neuronal dynamics 
concepts and enables participants to become productive within this 
framework. It is aimed at advanced undergraduate and graduate students, 
postdocs, and faculty members in embodied cognition, cognitive science, 
and robotics.

Topics addressed include neural dynamics, attractor dynamics and 
instabilities, dynamic field theory, neuronal representations, 
artificial perception, simple forms of cognition including detection and 
selection decisions, memory formation, learning, visual attention, and 
grounding relational concepts.

The deadline for participation has passed, but there is still a 
possibility to register on the waiting list. For anyone who cannot 
attend the school in person, there is an opportunity to listen to the 
lecture part of the summer school online, which also requires 
registration on the webpage.
